Dabolim is the closer of Goa's two airports to Old Goa and Panjim: about 30 km / 45 minutes to Old Goa and the Cotta Mansion reception. Direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and most Indian metros, plus some international connections via the Gulf. Prepaid taxis and Goa Miles cabs are available right outside arrivals.
Goa's newer airport in the far north. It's the closer option for the Roce and the Jan 11 evening at Severina Gardens in Mapusa (about 35 km / 45 minutes), but roughly 60 km / 1.5 hours to Old Goa and the reception. Many international and low-cost carriers now fly here, so compare fares with Dabolim. Prepaid taxis and app cabs available at arrivals.
Our events are spread across three spots: Mapusa in the north (Roce on Jan 8 and the Jan 11 evening), Old Goa (church on Jan 10) and Agacaim just south of Panjim (reception on Jan 10). Staying in or around Porvorim keeps everything within 30 to 40 minutes. Goa Miles is the local cab app and needs to be pre-booked. For the wedding day we recommend booking a cab for the full day (most hotels can arrange this) so you're not hunting for a ride between the church and the reception. Scooter and car rentals are everywhere if you'd rather drive yourself, but please take a cab to the reception if you're planning to enjoy the bar. The Konkan Railway runs down the coast from Mumbai to Goa and is a lovely, scenic ride. Which station to get off at: - Thivim: closest to Mapusa and Porvorim (about 15 to 25 minutes by cab) - Karmali: right by Old Goa and about 20 minutes from Panjim - Madgaon: the main terminus, but about an hour south of our events Day trains (all also stop at Dadar and Thane): - Vande Bharat Express (22229): the fastest. Leaves CSMT around 5:25 AM, reaches Thivim around noon. Chair car only, and it does not run on Fridays. - Jan Shatabdi Express (12051): leaves CSMT around 5:10 AM, reaches Thivim around 1:20 PM. - Tejas Express (22119): leaves CSMT around 5:50 AM, reaches Karmali around 2:10 PM. - Mandovi Express (10103): the slow, scenic one. Leaves CSMT around 7:10 AM, reaches Thivim around 5:30 PM and Karmali around 6 PM. Overnight: - Konkan Kanya Express (20111): leaves CSMT around 11 PM, reaches Thivim around 8:10 AM and Karmali around 8:30 AM. Sleeper and AC berths. ViewComing from Pune, you have three good options: - Goa Express (12780): runs daily. Leaves Pune around 5:10 PM and reaches Madgaon around 5:40 AM, going via Miraj, Belagavi and the Dudhsagar ghat. Sleeper and AC berths. From Madgaon it's about an hour by cab to Panjim or Porvorim. - Pune to Ernakulam Superfast (22150): runs on Sundays and Wednesdays along the Konkan coast. Leaves Pune around 6:45 PM and reaches Madgaon around 5:40 AM. - Via Panvel: Panvel is about 2 hours from Pune by cab, and you can catch any of the Mumbai trains listed above from there. For example, the Vande Bharat Express leaves Panvel around 6:25 AM and reaches Thivim around noon (not on Fridays).
